Separation of Church and State
The separation of church and state is an issue that the bible predicts will come to forefront in the last days. Revelation 13:14, 15 Talks about an image to the beast. The 1st Beast of Revelation as described in Revelation 13 is a power that receives WORSHIP(Rev. 13:4) and also has CIVIL POWER to persecute and prosecute God’s people (Rev. 13:5-8). In a very concise manor we can say that this beast power is a union of church and state. Therefore the image to the beast is a union of church and state. Beloved, believe it or not this is already an issue. The image to the beast is formed, yea it is waiting for life to be breathed into it. Notice the article titled ” Separation of Church and state hyped as a campaign issue.” Why would politicians bring up the idea of separation of church and state unless they knew it would appeal to a certain sect of people.
Before we go any further let us ask a few questions. (1) What is a woman in bible prophecy? If you said a church, that would have been correct. (Jeremiah 6:2, Ephesians 5:23 & onward) (2) Next question. If a wife decided that her husband was not giving her enough money or felt unsecured with her husband and went to another man and ask for money and protection, how do you think that husband would feel? Well of course the husband would feel bad. Especially if the husband has been giving more than enough money and has never let anything happen to her.
Well the same is taking place in the church of Christ today. Instead of being connected with Christ and His kingdom, she (the church) is linking with the secular powers of this day. The bible calls this harlotry, whoredom, fornication. (Rev. 17:2, 4, 5/ Rev. 14:8/ Rev. 2:2:20-23/ Rev. 18:3). The church has been commissioned to preach the gospel (Matt. 28:18-20) not run for offices and seek to control the conscience of men by outward law. The gospel is designed to change the hearts of men. Without spiritual power we look for human power and this will only open the church up to be a persecuting power.
Notice what the pope has called for in a recent article entitled “Church-State Collaboration“. This collaboration being
suggested is enticing to the kings of the earth. If the kings of the earth could get this blog, I would tell them don’t do it. This collaboration will cause this world to go into great chaos and YOU WILL REGRET IT in the end. In fact, the bible predicts that the kings of the earth will turn on this backslidden, apostate church and burn it with fire (Revelation 17:16)
For those who do not understand what I am trying to get at, let me say it even more plainly. Any church that seeks that assistance of the state to pass it laws and sustain it’s institutions is forming a image that ultimately the world will be brought in great crisis over. I plead with the church of Christ. Link up with Jesus who is now making final atonement for the sins of His
people. Link up with the kingdom that is being given into the hands of Jesus (Daniel 7:13, 14). There is only one kingdom that will last and that is the kingdom of Jesus Christ the righteous. We must be faith enter into the Most Holy Place in heaven by faith. It is this kingdom that will last forever. It is this government that will never pass away. As a children of the most high God we must be connected with that kingdom no just by mere profession but also by an inner
transformation. These laws must be written in our hearts (Hebrews 8:10/ Hebrews 10:16, 17) and God promises to do this with us and for us. Turn to Christ which truly is a union between Church and State (the state of Heaven).
When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach
over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall
repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.–5T 451
